I thought there was a thread about magic item drops, but I couldn't find it.
Any use for this +5 orb orb? Say, if it gets two sockets at Larzuk.

It's usable if it's all you have but it's not a keeper, because there are a lot of inexpensive options that are much better such as The Oculus which gives +3 to all skills, 30% faster cast rate, 20 to all resists, 50% MF and more.
the best blue item would be +3 element skills, +3 matching core skill, +3 matching mastery, +20 fcr, and two sockets.. pure dmg dealer, almost impossible to get
e.g. 3 cold, 3 blizz, 3 Cold Mastery or 3 fire, 3 Fireball, 3 Fire Mastery

Yes it would. The 2os allows 2 facet with -10 to enemy res, which packs a bigger effect than +20 skill DMG, especially considering the mastery bonus sorcs already have.
+6 (+3 from staff mod skill and +3 from elemental) core skill, +6 mastery (+3 from staff mod and +3 from elemental), 20fcr, and 2 facet > fathom or eschuta.
I'm not playing D2 as much as before. I'm too lazy to edit all my trade prices. Offer me something reasonable and I'll probably accept.

In addition, this combination can spawn with lvl req of 45, making it valid for MLD. Another benefit to consider when it comes to sale value.
and btw 105 breakpoint on FCR would also be achieved with 35 on Spirit, 20 on arachnid's, 20 on Magefist, 20 on orb and 10 on the amulet.. one may Dream
if it a had better roll +3 to Frozen Orb and +2-3 Cold Mastery, perhaps 20 fcr, it would be decent enough for Larzuk quest, if it rolls with 2 sockets well put 2 Lem runes in it, and use when farming cows for bases on low player count, decent enough kill speed and nice extra Gold, to earn some for gambling or selling, i dont think anything beats a nice Death fathom for dps, isted occy is decent enough damage and nice enough mf...
