Long time D2 player. First time posting here

Hi everyone

I am a long time D2 player starting with LOD soon after it came out. Friends from work got me on. One of my all time favorite games only next to Final Fantasy 1 on the NES and City of Heroes.

I love playing it because of all the possible sets and uniques. Even the randonm unique bad guys

I do have resurrected and love the storage space now. No more taking up room when starting with all the gems and runes.

Just did the Cow level for the very first time ever last night. What a blast. Just hearing all the moos was funny. All the stuff I got too and as a bonus having it terrorized at the same time. i love how it is listed too lol

Just a few questions.
I noticed that once you run the Cow level and clear it out, if you want to run it again, you have to get Wirts Leg again. I thought once you did the Tome and the leg, it opened it permanently?
Of course it was not a big deal getting it again, but didnt have to face again

I like the new warlock character. He is currently my highest as I created him first on D2R. I never had an easy time just wiping out Duriel and then Mesphisto. But then after the update that nerfed him, I did a run and Mephisto kicked my butt.

I do a lot of Andy runs even though all my characters except my warlock are still in Normal. Is there a point where the Andy run doesnt pay out in Normal? I have been getting good drops still.
Same with Mephisto.

So with the Terror zones, do you only see the ubers in the higher levels or only on ladder? I only am playing offline now, but I do have some online toons that I can do to make it more interesting.

I'll have a go at answering some of your questions:

Re: Wirt's Leg: Yup, you have to get a new leg each time. I think that's always been the case? Could be wrong though. I never did Cows too much back in the day. I do remember that you used to have to avoid killing The Cow King or you wouldn't be able to open it again.

Re: Ubers and Terror Zones: Uber Tristram (where you fight Uber Diablo, Mephisto and Baal) is not connected to Terror zones at all. You can fight the Ubers by collecting 3 of each Uber Key. You get keys of Terror from The Countess, keys of Hatred from The Summoner, and keys of Destruction from Nihlathak. You then use the keys to open portals to the sub-bosses after which you can open a Portal to Uber Tristram to fight the Ubers. All of this must be done on hell level. With D2R, you can do Ubers offline as well as online.
