I somewhat feel violated that this information was gathered and posted without any knowledge whatsoever by me. I suppose, in the end, its not a big deal, but I believed that I was entering into a private trade with someone I connected with in this forum. Nothing ever indicated that such things were monitored and reported on. And I am certainly not stupid enough to have overpaid by that amount, trust me. I had exactly two Jah's to my name when I entered the game to make the deal. Does that make what I paid clear enough? My remaining question is what possible reason that the seller would have for reporting such inaccurate information.Schnorki wrote: 3 days agoAfter a trade is completed, the seller/trade owner closes it out and as part of that is able to enter both, the buyer and the price paid.
In this case, you have been listed as the buyer and both, the helmet and the shield were listed as sold to you for 3 Jah each. So 6 Jah total.
In both cases, that would've been a massive over-pay, hence my earlier comment.
If a trade gets closed with you supposedly paying xyz amount and that amount is not accurate (as you say is the case here), that should be reported to one of the moderators so we can step in and correct the pricing to avoid it misleading people in the price history here.

OP
This is a public trading forum: trades are posted, bids are placed, deals are completed and prices marked in full transparency, for the benefit of the community. Nothing to feel violated about!Slapshot wrote: 5 hours agoI somewhat feel violated that this information was gathered and posted without any knowledge whatsoever by me. However, I was curious, and it seems you created a topic looking for advice on building a Paladin, in which the seller offered you their Dreams if you DM them, is that right? You never posted an offer for these items in a trade thread, you arranged via DM? In which case, presumably the seller created trade threads after the fact in order to record the price and exchange trust. So yes, the only question really is where the listed prices come from if they are not what you paid.

All trades are PSN, Switch or PC!
All trades will be conducted with a cup of tea and an apology (the British way).
Hm... I thought you get a notification if someone marks you in a trade as the buyer when completing it. @ShadowHeart or any other mod: Isn't this the case?Slapshot wrote: 5 hours agoI somewhat feel violated that this information was gathered and posted without any knowledge whatsoever by me.
If not I think this would indeed be problematic because then anyone could complete a trade with me as a buyer (and with wrong information) and I don't notice any of it at all.

You don't (and never did) get notified of a completed trade, even in your name, unless you watched it.ShadowHeart wrote: 1 hour agoI just created a test trade listing and marked you as buyer. Were you notified?
Anyone can credit a trade to anyone without the other party knowing.

Thanks. Guess that would explain why @Slapshot never realized that he was picked as the buyer with the wrong payment, as the trade was conducted via DM. Seems like an attempt at market manipulation by the seller in this case...Queegon wrote: 1 hour agoYou don't (and never did) get notified of a completed trade, even in your name, unless you watched it.

While this sucks, something broke and the descriptions in sold and bought are no longer transcribed upon hovering into a text bubble. Can't check descriptions now. @Teebling ?ShadowHeart wrote: 1 hour ago

Seller was clearly selling double Dream and wanted 3 Jah eachb (maybe, maybe not, who cares), the trade was put up for almost 2 days, so unlikely they created them for the sole reason to sell to slapshot. Slapshot just came around and showed interested in the items. Seller marked them as pricier than they were. Porbably an oversight rather than market manipulation since they no longer sell more dreams.

So unintentional market manipulation then?Queegon wrote: 1 hour agoPorbably an oversight rather than market manipulation since they no longer sell more dreams.![]()

Nope, nothing... But I think it is adviseable to add this "feature"...ShadowHeart wrote: 1 hour agoI just created a test trade listing and marked you as buyer. Gotta admit, I thought so, too.
Went ahead and added a suggestion for teebs to hopefully get that added to avoid cases like this in the future (rare as they may be).
