The in-game trade chat has been plaguing me for the entire ladder now. I keep typing /channel leave Trade only for it to reappear next lobby or next gaming session. I don't even have Trade selected in my active chat window, but I keep getting random trade chat communication between random people. It's very irritating, to say the least.
Is there any way to turn it off permanently, other than completely shutting off "online messages" in the options (which seems counterproductive in a trading environment)?

I doubt there is a way.
At first I was confused how people were talking to me in my game, but quickly caught up its not even in my game, its just random conversation in the lobby & trade.
Hilarious how it can push to players doing their own thing.
The lobby and the channels are a bit strange in d2r.

If ever you find a way to leave that channel for good, please do let me know.

You can leave the channel via the leave Trade in game chat command but you must do it everytime you're in a fresh game. Not sure if that is a bug or it's intended function. Also make sure the T is capital
