Description

Quite regularly, there are a fair few trades up for a given item. Looking for that item, you naturally want to look at those. If none of them offer the stats/rolls you need, you'll be looking for the same item (and hence the same list of trades) repeatedly.

As is, basically every time that list is looked at again, every trade will be marked as unread as they will have been bumped in the meantime. As such, you really can't keep of track of which are new and which you've already looked at only to find that the rolls aren't what you needed, meaning you actively open and read the same (useless to you) trade over and over again.

Would be lovely if trades didn't get flagged as unread simply by bumping them but only if there's an actual new post in them.
Or better yet, give trades a 3rd indicator:
- New: A new (to you) trade. I.e. one you have never opened and looked at.
- Unread: A trade you have previously looked at but that has gotten new posts since.
- Read: A trade that may have been bumped since the last time you looked at it but hasn't received any actual new posts.

The 'new' especially would be extremely helpful in making things a bit more enjoyable when looking for specific stats/rolls. Even more so if we could include that as a filter in the trade search so we only see actually new trades.

Renewed sunders are a pretty good example. The list of results keeps expanding, they stay up for quite a while and every bloody time they're marked as unread again, making you re-check the entire set of stats across the entire list again (minus the few you can actually remember), only to once more find that none of them have the stat combination you need. Would love to be able to have my search for those only return ones I've never looked at before and hence ones I haven't already deemed as "wrong stats".

Have you forgotten about sorting the listings based on most recently listed? I remember that thread and Teeb telling us it was there all along and both of us acting surprised upon reading about it.

Because that way you will never look at the same listing twice, if you remember you searched a day, two, three ago. If anything I'd like a specific sorting to be able to be set as default for you. I never check items twice. :D

Not saying the idea is bad, just that there's a work-around.

I have zero Memory of that :P
Though it is at most a partial work-around. The suggestion holds.

feedback/sorting-request-in-trades-base ... 59274.html

Both of us basking in our ignorance. :D

P.S. definitely not "at most partial". :)
P.P.S. Definitely still holds tho.
P.P.P.S. Specific sorting to be able to be set as default for a person? Pretty please?
