To be fair, if you do the research, put it up with an appropriate say 1 Ber price tag or whatever, you'll still get "o 1. pgem!" and "o Ist!" so..not like that's really helping that reliably, if at all.
Traderie has an option that prevents this (only accepting asking price). But this also has a downside. If it says 1 Ber, only 1 Ber is accepted, not 1 Jah, a 3-20-20 or anything else. But it's worth it to avoid the low offers. We do not have this here, do we?
Don't think so.
But yeah, that is quite the limitation.
If I'm asking for a Ber, I'll pretty much always also be fine with a Jah or a couple Sur or whatever.

that was what I wanted to say a few posts above
I do NOT bin my trades
1) lots will try to lower anyway
2) I'm indeed lazy but that doen't mean I dont know the prices
2a) if someone really needs the item he may make a higher offer (your goal as a seller is to get as much as you can)
2b) I just ignore if the offer is clearly under market (often to buy here and sell higher on traderie)
2c) if the offer is "correct" (or for any other reason like the buyer being a returning one) I can accept lower offers (we did trade @TimeSlayer even with no bin from my side)
3) I'm not in a hurry so if buyers "pass" my ads because of no bin ... well ... nobody cares neither he or I, even less other people on the site

I do both, just depends on the trade. I ran many many ubers to find a 20/20 lock torch and had over 10 18+18+ torches to trade. I didn't feel like searching the price for each but assumed they would all be around a certain range. I listed them all for "make offer".
I also had a few +1 eldritch grand charms with 30-40 life on them. Those I did check the price and listed them for what I thought was market value knowing I'd take something close to that amount.
If I have an item like a ring that seems GG and have no clue how to price it, I"ll ask for offers.
Ngl rereading this thread makes me want to post a bunch of stuff with "LF offers" just for shits & giggles
lmao
1 p gem

I accept RalSolHel in place of gems
Open to offers of LemPulUmMal & Keys

like i said in my OP, highly valuable or unique/odd trades justify a "LF offers"
selling >1000 Ral is pretty unique. u got a wide range of offers too. i think i saw someone pay a Ber for 100 which is wild to me. if u were just selling 20 Ral, LF offers would be kind of annoying.
most trades are for inexpensive items, at least for me, probably 90% of my trades are for less than an 1 Ist or 20 gems, or are just exchanges for different currency items keys/tokens/runes/gems.

i made this post after making a dozen or two 1 p gem offers on exceptional/elite 3os helms, an extremely basic item, because nearly everyone had "LF offers", almost no one was listing their price.
i had a lot of people respond with "1 Amethyst" or "3 gems is ok" and a few accepted my 1 p gem offer. so spamming "1 p gem" works! i got around 10 helms for less than half of what i was willing to pay.

yep thats my point 2a
someone might be willing to pay far more thant the market price for a HUGE amount of small material
just to save a lot of time on ONE trade rather than 10s of them
thus my "make offer"'

That is very true about large amount of material. And people willing to pay more to get it before it go up further may consider wise.
Some of small material was very cheap back few month ago and huge amount over there.
But if you manage to get them all , the price will also skyrocket...
There was some material over there that I manage to buy out all market production and as for today that material increase 300% value and still going up. I am selling back some to keep my original spend and left others in my inventory, consider as small investment.
--
mine is just small part, I follow my friend and buy some expensive thing, value go up a little but it is more than small thing I mention earlier
(my friend buy a huge amount of Zod, back then and I follow to buy a little. turns out he can buy anything he want today, even through it is small gain but he buy a lot)
Please be aware, all my trade is in non ladder d2r. Not warlock.
I'm a fence sitter on this one. Noobs need guidance thus a practical pricing on items would help them. However not putting a price on something in my own opinion is a little lazy & unhelpful with reference to my my first comment. I myself look past items with "LF runes" or "asking for offers" and just move on to an item that has an asking price. At least you know where you stand pricing wise.
With that said, I know someone with a GG item is going to want the best price possible thus ideally putting the item up for "auction" for want of a better term is the best practical option for them.
Someone once told me... "Never go full Sigon's"..... Sage advice!
