Did they change the cursed rate on Hephasto?

So I keep getting excited when various TZ zones pop and swap out to some MF gear on my ES Lock...forgetting that it drops me under the 10 in mastery. Button Memory kicks in and I summon a goat to

Sacrifice and my Hephasto dies. I know, get good and all.

The last 2 times now (including currently) I'm over 80 runs and not seeing Cursed as an Affix nearly as often as I was a few days ago. Maybe 1 in 15 or 20 is displaying cursed (sometimes it seems they can do amp damage but arn't cursed...in those cases their offensive aura's (fire, freeze, lightning) don't proc the curse just the hits. I guess since as OP as these things are it's not horrible, don't mind grinding for something good. Just curious if others noticed a similar thing?

My prob is now i'm spoiled on Extra Fast (I don't have points to put into Bind to get the auto-extra fast at 10 Bind) + Cursed + Dmg Aura. Its just too good.

Yeah fair enough, we all get destroyed by the RNG gods more often than not.

Rule of thumb:
The thing you're actively looking for is always the hardest to find.

Last three Hephs that I had had different RNG rules.
First it took me a full hour to find a

Conviction and cursed one.
After I "managed" to kill him, the next two were found in max 5 minutes each, basically first

Conviction aura had cursed as well. On first one I got many convictions but no curse.

Yesterday, I did 60+ runs, and no chance to find Hephasto with Cursed +

Conviction. 3 times with

Conviction alone and 4-5 with Cursed + another aura.

Today, 2nd run, boom: Hephasto with

Conviction and Cursed affix.

The gods of RNG...

I dont think bliz has that much free time to go into gamecode to adjust curse rates, they have ‘better’ things to do

Speaking of curse attr on hep, my luck is th8is. First few attempts got cursed along with the wrong aura, axex him. A few
More runs, got cursed and convic but 3rd attri was useless(magic resistant), axed him.

3rd time, i spent 4 hours+, i couldnt get the sttr i want: convic, cursed, Stone skin, in the end i had to settle for convic, cursed, 1 random crap attr.

Moral of the story, i spent 4+ hours getting to hep and didnt get one i wanted out of him, but the cursed attr did show up 8+ times through out the 4 hours or so

I am on PSN and what am guessing is the affix list is maxed. I did quite a few runs yesterday and bound Heph more than once which applied the amp damage curse but did not have it in the affix list. I’m currently running a Fanat with no listed Cursed affix that curses the screen on hit. Demon immunities either show up as icons or not at all for me as well. Still searching for a way to get my setup to display like some images I’ve seen on forums.

i had the same feeling yesterday. was looking for over 1h to find cursed+

Conviction.

one thing i noticed (i play on playstation):
the health bar description doesnt show all affixes of monsters. many times hephasto actually had the cursed affix, although it didnt show up in the description.

i now wait a bit and run around him to be sure if he curses me or not.

That's not just a PS thing.
Same thing happens on PC.

Every once in a while, they get a "hidden cursed" which doesn't show in the monster attributes but still works the same as any other 'cursed'.
So if you're looking to find a cursed Heph, don't just look at the affixes shown, let him hit your demon/merc a few times and see if they get cursed by him to check whether there's a hidden cursed effect on him.

Hidden or not, they still get preserved when you bind him. Case and point, my current one doesn't show his cursed either but it works just fine.

Might actually. They always hit and you use FCR instead of attack speed.

Conviction is either for ele builds (fire mainly in this case) or to drop defense for the not always hitting ones.

No matter what your build and preferred aura though, amp will always help your demon, your merc and so on. And since you can easily get it for free on top of the aura, without sacrificing anything important in terms of other affixes, you simply always want cursed, even if it doesn't benefit your build directly.

I always try to get a

Conviction / Cursed Heph. I don't have a

Flame Rift yet and when I encounter fire immune monsters it's easy to get rid of them with amp damage. Heph and Emilio do the main part and I assist them with my

Buriza-Do Kyanon.

About the RNG finding a good Heph... when I make the mistake to spawn a

Goatman instead of him, and is happening quite often, I go to the forge. Two of the last three times I found a conv/curse in 5 minutes. Last try it took me almost an hour.
