Description
I finally got a Worusk's End and now have a full set of statues. I have a Smiter that handles Uber Ancients with relative ease. Am I good to take these guys on or should I recruit a spotter for my first attempt?

Uber arreat is easy compared to ubers.
Can trade on LoD, RotW, and Ladder/Non-Ladder
I'd still make a game with an easy to remember name and password incase you get the jewel drop glitch (jewel drops too close to the Edge and it doesn't drop at all). That way you can leave, rejoin, and fight the ancients again to get your jewel.
I can trade DLC or non-DLC on both PC or xbox.

Was that ever confirmed to be an actual cause/glitch as opposed to War just having unknowingly recreated the "zoned out and back in" no-drop bug that blizz has since fixed?
Anywho, yeah, if you can kill uber meph, you can kill colossal ancients. They're kind of a let-down in terms of difficulty. Overstack res so Madawc's enraged thunderstorm doesn't one-shot you and you win.

Difficulty-wise, the Colossal Ancients fight feels like fighting 3 DClones at once. If you can deal with DClone and maintain focus on one Colossal Ancient at once, it should be manageable.
I love the fight, though, for the sheer aesthetic of it. It feels apocalyptic. I do wish it was more challenging... but that's probably impossible to address now.

Well, that was easy. Other than the fact that I kept losing namelock on them. I think I read somewhere that was an issue now, but hadn't noticed it until this. Is there a workaround?
Also I got this, but wtf do I do with it?! Do I destroy a 5/5 facet in one of my Griffs or other random armor/weapons to upgrade? Do I find a new item for it? I feel dirty removing a facet LOL what a conundrum. This thing is super nice though, only wish the MF was higher.

As for the name lock thing:
Hit your 'show loot' and 'show filtered loot' toggle buttons twice to turn it on and off again. That should fix it temporarily. As soon as you join a new game or toggle loot display on again, it goes back to being broken.
Tends to only apply to the toggle button. If you're set to timed or hold then you can ignore that one.

I don't think its been proven one way or the other, at least not that I have seen. Its one of those "err on the side of caution" scenarios in my opinion. When I kill the final one, I'll try an shoo him away from an Edge or column first. But I'll still make a password protected game. My show loot button is toggle but the show filtered loot is hold (not sure you can change that one?). So I just need to toggle show loot on then off again? Personally, I have filtered as toggle and unfiltered (rarely used anymore) as hold.
As a result, I need to press the filtered toggle button twice (on and off again) to let targeting stick again.
For you, it should be the unfiltered loot button then as that's the only toggle. Hit that one twice (once to show loot, a 2nd time to hide it again) and you should be fine until the next time you show loot or start a new game.

I got one-shotted fighting them and was wondering what took me out.
Pre-casting Life Tap from a charged Wand on them is easy and safes from early damage bursts. Also consider the auras of them providing -100 cold/light/fire res
