Your TZ Boss performance

I am curious how many runs you can do in one Boss TZ (only aiming for the Boss) and which Char you are using.

I first started with my Sorc for

Andariel,

Duriel and

Mephisto and my Assassin for Diablo and

Baal. But the speed of my 105 FCR Cold Sorc is really hard to beat - at least if you only want to snipe the Boss. The Mosaic Assassin simply needs too long to get the charges up, has slower

Teleport and you also have to pay attention not to lose the charges when the mobs in the third wave manage to spam hydras. The downside with the Sorc is that today my squishy lvl97 lady (was short of 98) was killed by some nasty dolls in the throne room

Anyway, here are some estimations from my runs (identifying items and clearing cube included):

Andariel: ca. 28-32

Duriel: ca. 15-25 (of course highly dependent on getting the right tomb)

Mephisto: ca. 28-32
Diablo: ca. 12-15

Baal: ca. 8-10

A 200 fcr sorc is hard to beat on sniping the boss

Depends on how awake I am.

Generally speaking, if your goal is pure speed for safe and reliable boss farming, a properly built

Fireball/

Meteor sorc is about as good as it gets. The only thing competing in travel speed is a barb or other sorc builds but those can't quite keep up on boss kill speed. Barbs just take too long to kill. Blizzard gets f'd on the "does no dmg" bug too often. Other cold builds just don't kill as fast.

Hydra has higher theoretical max dps but requires time to place the hydras which isn't worth it for simple boss runs. And lightning does come in a very close second but still can't quite out-boss-kill fire (gains a bit on

Baal waves as

Nova but loses on bosses).
Spent plenty a ladder season setting records with that while I still bothered with 'versus runs'. ^^

That said, currently, I'm using my lock for everything. In part for the novelty but more so simply because he's still half a level behind the rest so until then, he gets priority.
Shreds everything no problem but obviously can't compete with a sorc. Cast rate just isn't the same. So he is a tad slower all in all.

Even with his slowdown though, Andy, Meph and Dia can all be run in well under a minute so >30 a rotation.

Baal is sadly often closer to 2 minutes due to a crap map and that forced delay between waves so about 15-20 per rotation, give or take.
And

Duriel just varies massively based on the maps. Probably averages out around 20-30, give or take, but I never quite paid attention to the actual timing for that one beyond "DAMN IT, LAST ONE AGAIN! TAKING FOREVER! U SUCK

Duriel!". ^^

I don't play with a stopwatch and I don't aim for Bosses. I use to kill everything on my way.

But my FoHdin doesn't take long killing Andy, Meph or Dia.

HCNL, i use hammerdin for andy/meph with Enigma, and Mosaic sin with Enigma for diablo /

Baal.
I don't go for

Duriel TZ or not, i use

Tal tombs for heralds when TZ.
Andy i'm roughly at 1 min per run.
Meph beetween 20 and 25 per 30 min, but i don't go straight for Meph, i always clear council.
For diablo i always en up with 11/ 12 runs in 30 min with my assa, i never pop seal the area, my best HR drop area .
And

Baal is 10 to 12 runs depending on path, WSK is my second best HR drop area.

I use to do

Andariel and

Mephisto with my 8xx mf Sorc that hasn't got fast tele, so i end up more on the 20 than the 25 side, but it's usualy worth it

Duriel i do with fast tele

Nova sorc and i go

Arcane Sanctuary first for the right tomb and a chance to drop

Key of Hate. I usualy end up somewhere between 13 and 20 runs, depending on how lucky i got with map layout

Nova sorc also does Diablo, where i end up with 20-25 runs, as clearing CS seal bosses is quiet fast if you don't get distracted

Baal is the slowest with 10-12 runs/30min, explaining why the corresponding statue is on it's way being the most expensive. I use

Abyss warlock for it cause he needs the xp and sorc always catches the blood mana dogpoo

Thx guys for your replies I currently have only four Chars I play with (Zoo Druid, Zealer, Cold Sorc and Mosaic Assassin) and I have no doubt that other builds might have an advantage. I am also getting older and slower with my keyboard

But I also have not yet optimized my Sorc for this task. E.g. I could replace The Occulus,

Harlequin Crest and one

The Stone of Jordan with a

Nightwing's Veil (+20CSD), a

Death's Fathom (+35CSD) and my new

Opalvein (+5CSD). Have yet to test if this really affects the speed overall

Anyway, hunting bosses in those TZ time windows is really exhausting in the long run (did I mention that I am getting too old for this kind of playstyle?) and I really prefer taking things slower. What I dislike with Mosaic the most is that you have a hard time picking up items because you constantly have to move around to find your next "kick"

Actually makes me appreciate the shortened TZ windows. A full hour of it would be..let's say not ideal.

Agreed on the Mosaic thing though. Can't deal with that "move on or start over!" stress. I much prefer to keep my sin a trapper.

Yes, in my estimation the "lucky guess" with fast tele is overall faster than checking

Arcane Sanctuary But I am not the benchmark because I am too lazy checking the symbols anyway
