Oh man! i was in middle school when the original d2 came out, and I was instantly hooked. So much fun as a kid before learning how to min-max a bit...

I exclusively traded between servers and pvp'd. I didn't even know 99% of the mechanics and never got to enjoy the beauty of a single-player experience. Play totally different today and appreciate it so much more.

First time I played LoD (1.14 maybe, if I'm not wrong) was in 2009. I liked the whole mechanic of upgrading items and spells. Obviously I messed a lot of them, not knowing much about them.
My first character was a

Zeal Paladin and he cleared Normal without issues. Then Nightmare a little slower but doable. I thought, what a game is this when you progress through but you end up playing the same game again?

Then came Hell... what a hell of a time. First Unique

Den of Evil was physical immune and it took ages to put him down. The rest of the Act I was a struggle to pass through and then came Act II where everything stopped. I think I was level 84.
Emilio were instakilled, resurrected him, exit town, dead again in one shot until I got broke with no

Gold and that was it. I didn't know to go back to nightmare to farm for better items.

I finished that game after 15 years, in 2024. Yes, the computer is still alive, Window XP installed and the game available.
After 15 years I could finish a game that I like it so much now.

The rule at that time about no Slow, only 120%frw with Charms and items also no

Pierce. So most pvp Amazon bow was a
