Unexpected changes

Alright, now that we got more than most of us were expecting and now that I've stumbled across the first oddity, figured we might as well have a topic for "unexpected findings" to enlighten all of us.

To kick it off:
Hustle got renamed to Hysteria for armor and Mania for weapons.
Bonus tidbit:
Despite the new recipes and whatnot,

Standard of Heroes seems to still have no use. At least it wasn't added to the stackable materials tab.

Aye, noticed that as well shortly after posting the armor bit.

What surprised me in playing the first 20 levels of a Warlock:
- the drop rates for good entry level gear seem to have increased. Got very (!) good starting gear for sorc/necro.
- same for

Chipped Gems. Lots of them dropping.
- also quite some rare items. Within levels 0-10, I got at least 7-8 rare items of various kinds.

Actually, I found everything unexpected!

After the "don't you guys have phones?" incident, I've kept my expectationsclose to zero to avoid disappointment. Given how low-

Key the D2R teaser was, I was thinking there'd be some minor changes like a couple of new runewords to draw attention away from stuff like added DRM and microtransactions.

But I am very pleasantly surprised by the largest content update since Lord of Destruction.

Where was it mentioned officially that Mosaic will not be available next ladder?

Gold in your shared stash was eaten/decreased for no reason?

I'm pretty sure I had 2500000 in all my shared stash, now they are just 750000???

Is it just me?

Thanks, I overlooked,

Gold is fine, they changed the way they display now, now it's just the transferring of items between LoD and RoW's shared tabs are irritating(especially if you have multiple torches/

Annihilus), other than that I'm very happy with most of the changes so far. :/

I am baffled. didn´t see this coming and am pleasantly surprised.

Don’t think it’s mentioned in any actual Blizzard posts yet, but MrLlamaSc’s post on Icy Veins about Reign of the Warlock had a note at the very end where he said as much. MrLlamaSc has been deeply involved with Blizzard (together with some other content creators - Blizzard did say this in the live stream) in making this thing happen, so he knows what’s coming, hence why it’s as good as official.

It's listed as a BiS in a bunch of the tentative Warlock builds LlamaSC put out. I guess it probably is a lot better if you can wield it one handed

If history is any indication, it doesn't change.
Even when items did change in the past, stats of existing ones generally preserved the old functionality and only new drops got updated stats. (With minor exceptions)

What's possible is that the grail thing does work retroactively just by IDing an old one and folks are looking to rush through that. Mang Song's is a fairly rare drop after all. No clue if that's really the case though, haven't tried yet.

Or maybe it did change and they're assuming your listing is for a new drop...who knows.

Seems to be BiS now for the Warlock

If I understand from other discussion threads,

Mang Song's Lesson can be wielded one handed by the Warlock, and thus can be BiS in a few builds there.

It seemed like there were more champion and unique packs when I was playing last night. Offline, going through hell on my barb.

I seemed to find a lot more of these packs, but it was just a feeling. I didnt document anything

While playing a TZ, the game informs you when one of these Heralds spawn. It seems to me they (always?) spawn near you -- a screen away, I'd say.

Thorns, right? Didn't even notice since I'm playing my Hammerdin.

Are they very fragile? I've been informed by system twice today herald spawned and i was looking for them in the entire map (once in WSK lvl3 second in Chaos) but couldn't find them at all - I'm using Dragon paly, not sure if they died like the other White mobs even before I see them :/
