so i played a while and now my account is full with all my mules and i cannot create more characters.
And now? Do i need a new copy of D2R, a second account?
How do you handle all ur stuff? I do not yet have all usefull stuff collected...
I mean, if i go ladder, then all space needed is doubled, right?
When additionally hardcore then tripled.
I know we might see some additional space in less than a day, but i wanted to be prepared...

This is the time to just let go...
Remember when you started and there where people dropping awesome stuff for free for you to pick up and you thought they were saint samaritan?
Well, they were just cleaning their mules.
You are one of them now.
D2R is nothing but a highly complex paper doll dress up simulator.
I've got 100+ crafted amulets (from cheap to gg). Let me know what you are looking for.
There should be a support group set up to help people let go of their hoard. Like a Hoarders Anonymous.
Anyways, no one should tell you what your play style is. If hoarding items makes you happy, then hoard...I mean collect away. Ladder and HC wont double or triple your hoarding ability since you're still limited to 24 characters per account (but yes you can effectively double or triple your shared stash space but you can't transfer existing SCNL items to Ladder or HC). If that is route you want to go you can do SCNL, SCL, HCNL, HCL.
So you have to buy a new account. Or objectively trim down your hoard. Easy to find items, dump. Perfect versions or really rare items, go ahead and keep. Sigons for example takes up a lot of space. You can buy a full set for an Ist all day long. Or you can turn play characters into mules.
Personally I convert as much as I can into currency and then just buy what I need when I need it. I've got one mule of stuff I don't sell and that's twinking gear. Its not worth the hassle to re-buy it everyone I start a new character.
truth, but....arrghh.... but ...but i'm a collector!
You have to understand, space have value. Dont let too much equipment that you will never wear it to occupy your space.
I clean up 300 space weeks ago. Use market as 'cloud' to store your thing. You can get them back when you need them with almost same value you sell them today.
Of course , there will be some item that is not popular and not used by most player, those thing you have to store yourself.
In my case, it is repeat Crossbow, Eth unique , those very hard to find and almost no people use them /buy/sell them.
Some item people like to keep them are relatively not worth keep. Like cow king, Tyrael might. Those thing I usually recommend people dump them into market.
