Conversion makes monsters die instantly

This seems to be a well-known, yet undocumented, feature of

Conversion: After the effect wears off, any hit on the monster kills it instantly.

I found out by accident with my level 84 Avenger pally. I have just 1 point in

Conversion. Upon converting a bunch of enemies to use them as meat shield, when they "woke up", even my merc's

Holy Freeze aura kills them with pulse damage. They have full health, Hell difficulty.

After googling it, I discovered it's a relatively known feature of this skill. I am certainly going to rely on that more often, especially when dealing with tough monsters like witches and blood lords.
