Just curious whether or to not ever use this. The repair costs must be frightening.

I wouldn't use it for my mercenary, because the strength requirement alone would stop me. I've found much lighter
Eth
armors with equal or better defense that have much lower requirements and won't slow my mercenary down. For character build I would be even less likely to want to use it. you might want to supply some build information if you want the best possible answer.

The image of the
Archon Plate
I'm showing is an example light merc armor with decent defense.

OP
@mhlg That's my thoughts, there isn't a practical use-case. Will keep crossing my fingers for an ethereal variant!

I'm a bit of a fashion "Big O". So I like the
Sacred Armor
on a barb. It looks TOUGH. But your right, you might head to out battle, fight one hour, head up to
Larzuk
, and he hands you a 110k
Gold
repair
Bill
. I can attest to this, as I use some
Boneweave
Armors with the Fortitude runeword. I often get that 90K
Gold
repair
Bill
. For me,
Gold
is cheap. Other's opinions may differ.

The second thing is the points allocation and survival. The high points in strength is okay for a Barb or Paladin. So I think you know where this is going, right?

Third thing is that Archon Armors are very dominant, look great, and don't kick you in the balls when allocating points or when it comes to paying the repair bills.

It's a sweet
Sacred Armor
. It really comes down to your play style.

Yeah maybe if this is on a
Gold
find horker the repair cost will be negligent :).

That's great Dude! That deserves the "Like". Hella practical thinking there...

That's what I mean by
Gold
is cheap. I go out and kill for an hour or two with either my Barb or Sorc and come home with a million. Every pile of
Gold
is 3 to 5k.

But really... I'm a dumb@ss.
