LW ba or BOTD ba???

Frenzy barb uses LastWish and Botd ... but... but... maybe better use Grief and LastWish?

yes but from Last Wish Level 17 Might Aura and 60-70% Chance of Crushing Blow is very good MORE 6% Chance To Cast Level 11

LW is interesting on

Phase Blade because it's slow but high crushing blow.
That's why it rocks against ubers.

For BA, like any other one-handed weapon, Grief is unbeatable.

If you don't want to use dual Grief, for boss, Death in ethereal BA is best.
If not for boss, botd is great too.

I wouldn't go after ubers without an ethereal

Berserker Axe BotD with my

Frenzy barbarian. The offhand weapon is berserker base LW in the offline version, and socketed

Azurewrath in the online. If it's not available I'd opt for a PB Lawbringer. Grief would be my last choice for a

Frenzy barb. Unfortunately it doesn't work as well as for a smiter pal. Not even close, at least for me, and believe me, I've tried hard after reading all these raging reviews of Grief.

Botd gives no crushing blow, and you want it for Ubers.
You should think about Death which is a crazy rw for BA.

It depends if you want to go BA or PB.

If PB : dual Grief (the most dmg) or Grief/LW or dual LW.
If BA : dual Grief (the most dmg) or Grief/botd or Grief/Death.

My choice is Grief/Death (Death has crushing blow AND deadly strike) with an A5 Merc with Lawbringer and LW.

The A5 Merc gives you might aura (200 ed),

Sanctuary Aura (660 ed) against undead and

Decrepify.

Sanctuary Aura allows you to leech life from some undeads.

Regarding life leech, you can have it from

Arreat's Face,

String of Ears or rings.
If you want more safety, you can even use

Dracul's Grasp.

Frenzy/WW hybrid barb

Grief in PB main-hand

Ebotd CB off-hand

good times clearing most places.

Eth Oath, I know it's trash, but haven't found anything better lol.

Oath is a small/budget Breath of the Dying but clearly not trash.
Nice damage on an ethereal weapons but no deadly strike or crushing blow.

Oath is also very effective against non-boss ennemies and you can end hell with it.

For Ubers, generally Grief+Last Wish PBs is best. Better QoL than most other options. But there's lots of weapon combos that can get the job done without too much difficulty.

Grief + Beast (BA)
Grief + Death (preferably

Eth BA)
Grief + Kingslayer (PB or BA)
Beast + Death (BA)

Just to name a few.

I've done Ubers with Grief + Kingslayer PBs and Grief + Beast BA many times, both work very well if you can't afford a LW.

How about Death and botd, both BA? Not a good option?

I’m currently running Death and Oath, just waiting to get the runes for botd. Rather enjoy not having to repair my weapons at the moment.

You want the fastest weapon on your mainhand.
Don't hesitate tobuse the attack speed cacultator to check if you have enought IAS.

LW + Death in BA is too slow.
You need more IAS on at least one weapon.

LW + botd is ok because 60 IAS on botd.

IMHO LW is more a PB oriented rw than BA because low speed regarding damage. LW can not be ethereal so damage is lower.

So if you want BA and no Grief, botd and Death is way to go.

In case you think that the "aura" gives anything to the party:

Sanctuary Aura and its effects (+damage, leech on undead) only works for the wearer himself. But, and this is important: It works for BOTH weapons!
