Damage goes to mana

Hi maybe its a stupid question but how work DGTM and

Energy Shield ? Any synergy ?

DTGM heals your mana by a percentage of the damage you take to your life pool (only works against physical hits). Since ES lowers the damage you take to your life pool, it also reduces this mana healing effect greatly.

for example sg hits with 100 dmg.

Without ES you take 100 dmg to your life. 40% DTGM will give you 40 mana.

With 95% ES you take 95 dmg to your mana and 5 dmg to your life. 40% DGTM will give you 5*0,4 = 2 mana.


It can be somewhat useful on a sorc using lower lvls of ES.

For example a

Tal sorc having 65% ES and 47% DTGM (

Boots) takes 65 dmg to her mana and 35 dmg to her life. 47% DTGM will give her 35*0,47 = 16 mana back. In the end she takes around 25% less damage to her mana against physical hits.

So at low level, and with low points in ES it can be useful to have some DGTM.

Using ES usually requires to max Télékinésis first.
Points in TK makes ES more efficient while points in ES changes the life / mana distribution.

If you have good points in TK and less in ES (1 point wonder) DGTM is rather nice - what you lose in life refills a bit mana.

But when in endgame with only 1 point in mana you probably are at 15+ ES and possibly with Insight DGTM won't really matter
