Description

Hi all,

I got an offer to change my 45 life skiller for a ... 45 life skiller with a different skin + a small amount of change.
Besides matching your personal skiller collection, does any charm skin skiller have more value in general? I couldn't really find anything about that.
In this case I would change my eye skiller to a brown grand charm with the same stats/skills.

Can be used to make Runewords:

All prices are negotiable. All trades are Non-Ladder (unless explictly stated).

Yes, I don't know regarding charms as I think its player dependent, but for example I personally like the coin SC skin over the others (the one that has an M on it). Subjective of course.

That said RBFs definitely have more value depending on jewel colour.

Grand Charms don't seem to carry more or less value depending on the skin. You probably have someone who is trying to get all their grand charms to have matching skins. The extra change they are offering is for your time/hassle since now you will be selling their skin'd version of that grand charm.

Small charms do generally have more desirable skins. Generally speaking Bear Claw > Coin > Football. However you will always find someone who prefers football or coin over bear claw.

Also, your min price is too high for your GC. Ones exactly like yours are trading all day long for 40

else where.

I'm willing to accept other forms of currency. Like Tokens, Keys,
Perfect Gems
, and certain minor runes in lieu of my asking price. I'm also willing to accept rune combinations that add up to my asking price.

Objectively, they're the same and of equal functional value.

Subjectively, plenty of people prefer a certain skin and will happily pay more to get it. What that skin is depends on the person and sometimes changes based on charm/character even for the same person.

I've sometimes had players wanting specific skins, but at those times, at least for me, they didn't intend to pay more for that skin, they just wanted that skin or no charms at all...

you should
Charge
'small fee' for that kind of request, that will make it sounds right.

People who need specific kind of item, they are willing to pay small to get it right.

Favor
Perfect Amethyst
over
Perfect Skull
...
These days, I don't need that much
Perfect Skull
, it is less encourage to pay in
Perfect Skull
but it will treat slightly better than
Perfect Gems
.

I'm surprised the bear claw SCs are the most sought-after. They're definitely last on my list. Good to know!

I only play softcore, non-ladder.

I call the SCs cinnamon buns, coasters, and biscuits lmao. Cinnamon buns rule so those are my favorite xD

Usually looking for Runes, Essences, PGems, Tokens, Keys, etc.
Always willing to discuss and negotiate :)

In general -- no
In player-2-player base -- yes (because if you want a specific skin that means people will probably try to raise the price which is logical because something rolling twice or trice with exact same values [like Charms] with different skins is more rare than just rolling once). It's like trading with collection stuff irl, but if you are a seller you will eventually find someone who needs that specific thing you can offer (if you are willing to wait for that person) :)

Ma neeeeeeema veeeeeeeze! xd

Someone much smarter than me already said once: "The real value of something doesn't reflect in a number of how much a seller can ask for it, but on how much a buyer is willing to pay."

Very person dependent, and sometimes even character dependant... and I am among the psychos on this, while not being super rich, I like that aspect part of my build - my Bone necro prefers DNA/celtic knot GCs, while my summon necro prefers eye skin...

As for my SCs my goal is to distingush them easily so they are "coded" against their suffix :
- fhr is bear claw (a bear is stable, right ?)
- magic find is coin (money money money)
- frw is football (gotta go fast for that sport, obviously)
- life... depends on what is not already too present on that char and if it can save me a bit of annoyance... and hard to make them match due to this having tons of possible values
- I think that's pretty much all on really useful affixes :D

bear claw is favourite for trades but the value diff is minimal to coin or fb
monster skin is also slightly more worth

The Dark Lord shall vanish into hell.
Prince of Devils shall believe.
Darkness turning to light.
Thanks to the savior.
Holy Angel of Heaven.
The Immortal Master may rise.

People like the skins of certain types. Personally would not bother as it doesnt exactly matter and has not other than the cosmetic value.
It does look neat when the inventory is full of similar charms by looks.
Ive always felt like skinning all charms the same way is kind of how rich people have hobbies. You have so much money that you can waste so much more for the same effect.

Hmmm, not considering myself as super rich (sure, not poor, have a bank of 6 full alphabets of runes in my mules, but not 100s) BUT I have spent some time "arranging" my charms, most of them at 0 cost (if you have enough people exchanging and preferences different enough, that works just fine).
Matter of preference - you can do skin swapping with 45 skill+ lifers as well as with 25 ones :)
