Ground, as the name implies, protects the wearer from lightning damage.
This rune word can only be MADE on ladder, but you can find these in the wild being used & traded on non-ladder because whenever a ladder season ends, all characters & items from that ladder season, including any Ground and other ladder-only rune words that were created during that ladder season, will transfer over to non-ladder. The ones you come across on non-ladder were created during a previous ladder season.
When you're the brave hero, teleporting to Throne of Destruction or Anya for your group, temporary switching your helmet to Ground realy helps against the deadly Willowisp that may spawn on your perilious way.
