If you vendor a unique charm you can't buy it back - they poof, they don't appear in the vendor's inventory. This goes for Annihilus, Hellfire Torch, Gheed's Fortune, and all sunder charms.

I found this out when I accidentally sold an 18/18/10 Annihilus to Akara. Hope she's enjoying it.
As for Gheed's, I've been lucky to find enough to outfit all of my characters, even upgrading the worse ones. I recently leveled a new character, though, and he's carrying around a 116/26/10 monstrosity. He's like the late, unplanned son who got all the baggy clothes from 10 years ago his older brother passed on to him.
Not quite the same thing, but i just found out that oh yes, you COULD get stuck inside Alkor's hut and have to leave the game to get out...

Was playing assa with BoS up, so a bit extra speedy.
So, misclicked slightly when approaching him, so instead of clicking him, clicked inside house, ran around him into his house, while he moved out in front of it like he does if you stop outside.
Where he completely blocks the way out and refuses to move again.
On my side, I was playing yesterday with my Pally being built, dropped two not too bad stuff (a 4 os Flail and an Arctic Horn), so did not have enough space for both in Cube (I always play full inventory).
Left my (35 mf I think) Gheed on the floor, went back to Lut Gholein, and what had to happen happened : a disconnect. My single disconnect for weeks at the only time I left something on floor. Next time, I'll drop ID book and keys instead !
Good news : managed to buy a better Gheed instead, so perhaps a good thing overall !
