I'd still stock Hel no matter how rich you get in game. Hel runes are useful for doing things like stripping things out of sockets & re-rolling runewords.
I was 1% away from a faster cast rate breakpoint earlier today and noticed my Spirit shield was only 30% FCR. Tossed it, a Hel rune, and a town portal scroll in the cube and it turned the shield back into an empty 4-socket Monarch. I dropped a fresh set of runes into it and it rolled 34% FCR. Suddenly I was up a breakpoint and all it took was that Hel rune and another set of Spirit runes.
Agree both with Hel+ and also with still picking up Hels even after you've hit max capacity on low-mid runes.
I also pick up Ral, Tal, Ort, Sol, Shael, etc. if I'm restocking gold in between gambling sessions. But obviously selling those instead of putting into storage.
It's also a good idea to keep 1-2 of each lower rune on a rune mule. Nothing worse than needing a Tir to complete a runeword and the game refusing to cough one up even as you farm Normal difficulty.
Cube them. If you got a load of Hel runes, then make a handful of Fal runes. You can buy some decent gear with them. If you have too many Fal runes, make a Lem or something.
You're never going to get a Jah out of Eld runes, but it gives you something to do.
