My fellow diablo2.io members, I call upon your assistance. I have managed to completely scramble the equipment of a bunch of characters of mine, and it's all a huge mess now!

(j/k, this is of course just a ploy )

I need your help to set things right again. I managed to get all the items into a maxroll.gg profile, but it's gonna be a bit of a puzzle to piece all the builds back together. If you manage to put a build back together correctly, I will be so grateful that I will give you all of the items from that character. Of course, including any charms in their inventory and gear swaps and so on, if there is any.

These are the characters/builds that were scrambled:

Some rules:

• There are 9 characters in total (each with a merc).
• There are some extra pieces of equipment, that each belong to one of the characters as gear swaps (some have more of these, some have none).
• To win a build, you need to piece it back together correctly.
• You don't need to guess correctly the extra pieces of equipment, just the ones equipped.
• When it comes to rare/magic items, it doesn't need to be the exact right one to count as "correct". (except during tiebreaks - keep reading)
• For rune words, uniques and set items it needs to be the same type of rune word, unique or set item, but it doesn't need to be the exact right one. For example, there's multiple
  Arachnid Mesh, if a character is wearing one it's enough to pick any
  Arachnid Mesh for it to count. (except during tiebreaks - keep reading)
• If you equip a character with an item that is actually one of their gear swaps rather than equipped, it will still count as correct.
• Each submission needs to fill out all gear slots, including weapon swap and merc. There are no empty slots on any of these characters (a two-handed weapon counts as both hand slots being filled out). If you leave an empty slot somewhere it is an automatic fail.
• If there are multiple correct submissions for one character/build, I will use a tiebreaker to determine the winner by counting who has more exactly correct items with the correct rolls. There's a lot of luck involved here of course.
• If there are still some ties (highly unlikely), I will use a random draw to determine the winner.
• Each person may only win one build.
• Each person may have one active submission per class. You need to put them in the same post, and you may still only win one of them.
• Your last post counts if you make multiple posts with submissions.
• You can probably tell by the Hellfire Torches how many of each class there is...
• You can post your submissions either as a maxroll profile link, or by listing the items directly in the post.

And if you're curious, these are all former ladder characters of mine that have been collecting dust for a while. They are hardly optimized (I'm not really a min/maxer), and a few gear choices might seem odd at first glance but it's just because I never found anything better nor put the effort into trading for something else. Oh, and you can probably tell what my favorite amulet in the game is...

I'll leave this up until sometime next week, probably next weekend (3rd-4th of May).
If there are some builds that nobody guesses correctly, I'll try to determine a winner by who came closest, or by raffle if needed. (more info about that later if it happens)

Wait...4 active giveaways?? I've peeked and followed all 4. It's A LOT of items. How many mules do you have compared to playable characters?
Also calling you a legend around here must be getting old for you to hear.

My current guess is that "ShadowHeart" is not a single person but a group of "D2 philanthropists"

Lol, yeah this might be harder than I first thought, since there's so many possible combinations.
But like the final line in the OP says, if noone gets a 100% correct guess for a build, the one that comes closest will win

Well, not really, since the idea is to give away my actual old characters/builds, and a build for a character which doesn't exist could never win anyway.
(i.e., you can't win a Necromancer setup since there's no Necromancer character to give away - as evidenced by the available Hellfire Torches)

One takeaway is that while there is some build variety among these characters, I guess I could try for more variety in what classes I play, because as you can probably tell, I rarely play some of the classes...

Wow, this is amazing (and insane). Again a very nice idea for a giveaway.
Although it is very tempting, I am not sure if I will enter, it feels like a rabbit hole without escape tunnels.

As a noob myself - at least if it is not Pala or Sorc - I recommend to take a look at the corresponding char guides at maxroll
