Each

Vile Child variant is spawned by the corresponding

Vile Mother unit. They do not spawn upon level generation like most other unit types.

With their low hit points, modest damage, and generous drain efficiency, these creatures rarely pose much of a threat. Indeed, between Life/Mana Leech and Life/Mana on Kill effects, their presence on the battlefield is often to the player character's benefit.

Vile Children are very dangerous so it's a good idea to kill their Vile Mothers as soon as you can to prevent more of them from showing up.

Flesh Beasts have a chance to deal Cold damage.
Grotesque Wyrms have a chance to deal Poison damage.
