Very surprised that it wasn't vendor prices again. I felt like they did that on two Fridays last year.
They did it on all 3x Friday's on 22/23; first time they skipped it which is odd

As a side note, they also nuked a heart-warming experience which was 25% bonus last year to only 10% this year....
25% TZ exp bonus completely destroys ladder climbing, and that many days of infinite gambling destroys economy for some of those rare BiS gambled items. Maybe that's what they were thinking this year

You are giving Blizzard a bit too much credit for their decisions ;) - most of this has been very random without any deliberate pattern or reasoning.

Ladder race is and has been done for sometime now and TZs already massively boost xp gain even without a buff. So whether it was 25% or 10% is somewhat indifferent, but 10% is marginal at best so the event itself is somewhat 'meh'.

Gambling rarely occurs without this event which gives everyone a nice break from the normal slot machine item grind. And you still are hard pressed to gamble elite rares as RnG still takes hold.

Well that's disappointing.

Today
Terror
Zones increased difficulty. I think with concomitant increase in xp but not sure. All I know is Andy hits like a truck

Doesn't feel like it's /players 8 level of difficulty, but at least 5 for sure.

The whole point of TZ is for XP, not drop.

It is Players8 - it was tested last year - and we just tested it again earlier.

This is clarifying that NoDrop is not influenced by the /playersx command like it is in singleplayer; just XP for this event.

However, I also kindly disagree on your point re: Drops. TZs are for both.

I think you already know this, and I've displayed this in many videos, TZ upgrading substantially improves drop rates across the board when you are clvl91 from all major Super Uniques & bosses. For Elites/Whites assuming you are already clvl85, then it has little to no impact.

The minute you hit clvl91, you can acquire every single item in the game from all monster types when those zones are TZd, in-addition to rolling tc87+ which increasing the propensity for pulling down from armo87/weap87.

Case in point below:

Non-Terrorized - 200% MF - Players7
Terrorized - clvl91 - 200% MF - Players7

Well, I don't know how to reliably test it online, I just judged by the time it has taken me to put down Andy with my
Frenzy
barb, and it corresponded to a similarly equipped the same clevel
Frenzy
barb in an offline game.

all good mate! I was just confirming for you that we validated it last year and again this year to be certain.

There are various ways to testing this, but in short, you essentially look at a target dummy (monster) and see what the normal P1 XP per kill would be based on all variables. And then of course compare it to what the current slate is. From different testing, we received /players8 XP last year and from what we saw earlier it was the same.
