25% TZ exp bonus completely destroys ladder climbing, and that many days of infinite gambling destroys economy for some of those rare BiS gambled items. Maybe that's what they were thinking this yearTh3ory wrote: 4 days agoThey did it on all 3x Friday's on 22/23; first time they skipped it which is oddScipio24 wrote: 4 days ago Very surprised that it wasn't vendor prices again. I felt like they did that on two Fridays last year.
As a side note, they also nuked a heart-warming experience which was 25% bonus last year to only 10% this year....

You are giving Blizzard a bit too much credit for their decisions - most of this has been very random without any deliberate pattern or reasoning.worldslargestmidget wrote: 4 days ago25% TZ exp bonus completely destroys ladder climbing, and that many days of infinite gambling destroys economy for some of those rare BiS gambled items. Ladder race is and has been done for sometime now and TZs already massively boost xp gain even without a buff. So whether it was 25% or 10% is somewhat indifferent, but 10% is marginal at best so the event itself is somewhat 'meh'.
Gambling rarely occurs without this event which gives everyone a nice break from the normal slot machine item grind. And you still are hard pressed to gamble elite rares as RnG still takes hold.
Well that's disappointing.
Today Terror Zones increased difficulty. I think with concomitant increase in xp but not sure. All I know is Andy hits like a truck
Players8 XP and thus, improved monster HP/Damage; Drops still P1worldslargestmidget wrote: 3 days ago Today Terror Zones increased difficulty. I think with concomitant increase in xp but not sure. All I know is Andy hits like a truck
Doesn't feel like it's /players 8 level of difficulty, but at least 5 for sure.
The whole point of TZ is for XP, not drop.
pm me here (d2. Io) for trade
It is Players8 - it was tested last year - and we just tested it again earlier.bigbikefan wrote: 3 days agoDoesn't feel like it's /players 8 level of difficulty, but at least 5 for sure.
This is clarifying that NoDrop is not influenced by the /playersx command like it is in singleplayer; just XP for this event.
However, I also kindly disagree on your point re: Drops. TZs are for both.
I think you already know this, and I've displayed this in many videos, TZ upgrading substantially improves drop rates across the board when you are clvl91 from all major Super Uniques & bosses. For Elites/Whites assuming you are already clvl85, then it has little to no impact.
The minute you hit clvl91, you can acquire every single item in the game from all monster types when those zones are TZd, in-addition to rolling tc87+ which increasing the propensity for pulling down from armo87/weap87.
Case in point below:
Non-Terrorized - 200% MF - Players7
Well, I don't know how to reliably test it online, I just judged by the time it has taken me to put down Andy with my Frenzy barb, and it corresponded to a similarly equipped the same clevel Frenzy barb in an offline game.Th3ory wrote: 3 days ago

all good mate! I was just confirming for you that we validated it last year and again this year to be certain.
There are various ways to testing this, but in short, you essentially look at a target dummy (monster) and see what the normal P1 XP per kill would be based on all variables. And then of course compare it to what the current slate is. From different testing, we received /players8 XP last year and from what we saw earlier it was the same.
Werewolf day. Barf
Yeah, sharing item find skill makes way more sense than this one.

Although this helps with leveling and would like to level either my Pali or Sorc from 89 to 90, I feel kind of burnt out to bother xp grinding atm.
Leveling from 89 to 90 takes no time at all, go for it! )Demantel wrote: 1 day ago Although this helps with leveling and would like to level either my Pali or Sorc from 89 to 90, I feel kind of burnt out to bother xp grinding atm.
I restarted playing again this month and I felt it was quite smooth sailing to 89, mainly doing MF runs and killing special packs along the way, also clearing TZ at times. I barely did any Baal runs for example. Somehow it felt like the step from 89 to 90 took quite long though. Yesterday with the popular TZ available I filled up 1/3rd towards 91 quite fast.ALLEyezOnMe wrote: 1 day agoLeveling from 89 to 90 takes no time at all, go for it! )Demantel wrote: 1 day ago Although this helps with leveling and would like to level either my Pali or Sorc from 89 to 90, I feel kind of burnt out to bother xp grinding atm.
To me, leveling past 95 is when things slow down dramatically. I did a few Throne Room runs with my Mosaic Assassin when the P8 online TZ event was on, and I barely leveled up at all, so I decided that 96 won't be happeningNielzsche wrote: 1 day ago I restarted playing again this month and I felt it was quite smooth sailing to 89, mainly doing MF runs and killing special packs along the way, also clearing TZ at times.
