Description

The Redeemer is one of only a few weapons to sport the "Damage +X" affix, the same affix responsible for the remarkable power of the Grief runeword. This affix will cause Zeal and Smite to perform far better than one would expect if going off of the information provided by the Lying Character Screen.

This Mighty Scepter is also useful for its skill bonuses. The guaranteed Redemption staffmod is welcome on any Paladin, as item-based access to that remarkably powerful aura can save a character up to 5 skills points that can be used elsewhere. Furthermore, few weapons match The Redeemer's large bonus to Holy Bolt, which enjoys excellent damage scaling (as high as +220-253 per slvl) when fully synergized with Fist of the Heavens.
