Just realized that the uniques of every base

Sash variant are really useful. It's cool to have the entire vertical awesome.

String of Ears

Arachnid Mesh

Don't know about

Lenymo maybe only the +Mana (as regenerate mana and resist are almost useless in the first levels)

Hsarus' Iron Stay or

Death's Guard +

Death's Hand with my low level chars)

Fair points.

but have an endgame item on Exceptional and Elite variants is already a great achievement
(don't think there are many cases )

and ... if you count Set items, you can count

Death's Guard for the Normal variant (not a endgame item, but with

Death's Hand can carry your attack build until you start to replace equipment for BIS )
