Beast runeword grants

Werebear.

The Runeword Beast (axes, scepters and hammers with 5 sockets) grants a lvl 3

Werebear Oskill.

Oskills can be used by any class, but the skill level bonus is limited to 3 levels for the native class. Oskill levels can be increased like native skill levels, including "+skill (native class only)" bonuses.

Prior to Patch 2.4,

Werebear attack speed was almost entirely dependent on base weapon speed and on-weapon Increased Attack Speed. Since that patch,

Werebear attack speed is based on the attack speed of the Druid's base form, and off-weapon IAS and + Attack Speed % from the

Maul: Skill function as expected.

With that said, the maximum attack speed of characters in

Werebear form dropped dramatically after the 2.4 patch, as well, hampering builds such as the Beast/Dual Dream Sorceress.
