Description

Perfect Gems is a pseudo-item that represents any quantity or type of Perfect Gem in the game.

Perfect Diamond
Perfect Amethyst
Perfect Ruby
Perfect Topaz
Perfect Emerald
Perfect Sapphire
Perfect Skull

'Bundles' or 'packs' of
Perfect Gems are sought after for their use in crafting cube recipes (see hover tooltips). They are widely available to beginner players/traders, and are used often in exchanges for low to mid-tier items on the marketplace. Collecting
Perfect Gems of the same type in large quantities is a good way to increase your liquidity early on.

Perfect Gems is frequently shortened to Pgems, PGs, or just gems.

Due to the popularity of
Recipe: Caster Amulet,
Perfect Amethyst are significantly more valuable than other
Perfect Gems.

If someone asks you trade for
Perfect Gems you should not include
Perfect Amethyst and
Perfect Ruby in the mix (although some might dispute
Perfect Ruby). Nobody expects them to be in the mix of other
Perfect Gems in the first place.

This is because they are worth more. Currently 1
Perfect Amethyst = 4
Perfect Gems,
Perfect Ruby = 2
Perfect Gems . In turn this is because you can use
Perfect Amethyst and
Perfect Ruby for the most popular and valuable crafts (Caster and Blood crafts). Any other
Perfect Gems can be used for less popular crafts or just to reroll grand charms or diadems.

Always keep these suckers, even starting from sub-flawless grade for
Ruby and
Amethyst and easy upgrade in
Horadric Cube.
If it wasnt for shiny precious gems and trading them for runes i wouldnt have any top tier gear, good thing is they drop everywhere easy xD xD

Perfect Amethyst and
Perfect Ruby (as said above by @louner),
Perfect Skull are normally not include in
Perfect Gems trades either (they are used for the
Recipe: Low Quality Rare Item of Same Type - in general to re-roll
Diadem, as
Diadem, thanks to quality level and magic level, may roll any affix even with item level 1)
