Description

There are two instances when I can reliably get the game to crash.
First after killing Shenk and the catapults launch to the area. If I am actively fighting, then it will crash.
Second is when I fight
Baal
and he summons his minions. Usually, second or third batch will cause the game to crash; only if a
Hellfire Torch
is equipped.

Don't think its a HW issue. Unless my ram is causing the issue. Perhaps a setting causing this?

my guess it's a graphics issue-
i've had multiple crashes, but only with the council....

I don't think a 4080 Super would succumb to D2R. Though I guess it is entirely possible.

I have heard of people reducing Shenk crashes by turning down the graphics.

I'm pretty sure it's not a limitation of the GPU or CPU... I think it's the software's inability to handle so much screen vomit at once.

Vomit lol. I will try turning things down then. Does FPS matter much?

If my theory is correct, then the crash is because the game can't keep track of so many objects at one time. Turning settings down gives it fewer things to keep track of. So ultimately, the FPS doesn't really matter. (And with your card, it'd probably run at 200+fps at max settings if the software allowed it!)
