Dual Weapon - how exactly do "on attack trigger" on the weapons work?

Hi

I know that when you are equipping Dual Weapon (with Barbarian, Act 5 Merc or Assassin), the "On Striking trigger" (like Lawbringer /

Decrepify ) on weapons works only when the weapon with the affix hit.

But how do the "on attack trigger" (like Death /

Glacial Spike) work for the skills where you attack with both weapons on each cast (like

Double Swing,

Double Throw,

Dragon Claw, etc...)?
(only the "on attack trigger" of the main weapon works? Both "on attack trigger" work?)

For “on attack” means whatever arm is wielding that weapon will proc the effect on each swing at the given percentage? So even if u use the

Double Swing,

Frenzy, if u only have 1 Death wep equipped, the hand with the Death wep can only proc it at x change per swing .

I think the same can be said for “on striking”, but means u must hit something with x change to proc for that hand with that weapon.

"on attack" happens each time you activate an attack skill, on the first swing (even if it misses/ being blocked), while "on striking" will happen for each swing that hits.

So with

Zeal/Fury "on attack" will happen only on the first swing (only once per cast), while "on striking" will happen for each swing that hits (up to 5 per cast)

So if you have a "on cast" and a "on striking" in items that are not weapons, and use

Double Swing (or similar), you will get one "on cast" (during the first swing) and up to two "on striking" (for each swing that hits)
But when on weapon, the "on striking" works only if that weapon hits...

I don't know how the "on cast" works on that situation... I would guess that only the "on cast" on the main weapon will trigger...

(have no high level Barbarian/Assassin to test at the moment...)

I'm currently attack at 6.25 hits per second... with 25% chance to trigger, if it could happen on each hit I would shot at least one

Glacial Spike per second, but it is far from what happen in reality... seems like

Glacial Spike happens only on the first swing...

"On Attack" is just that. Fury is an attack skill, that hits multiple times, same with

Double Swing,

Zeal, ect. The only thing that can proc multiple times during those is "On Hit"

But the main question is still open:
I have two weapons, each with an "on attack" affix and use

Double Swing.
Do both trigger or only the "on attack" on the main weapon?

Both "on cast" and "on strike" work for each swing of the attack (like d2rppa69 said above)

So a single

Zeal/Fury activation will have 5 chances to trigger "on attack" and up to 5 chances to trigger "on hit" (I must be unluck with my Fury Druid Death "on attack" triggers.. )

In a similar way a single

Double Swing will have 2 chances of trigger "on attack" and up to 2 chances to trigger "on hit"

And as the "on attack" is triggered by the swing and not the cast (as I misunderstood initially...), with "Dual Weapon" both triggers on weapon will work only for the weapon that is being swinged
