Hello, I am playing through D2R for the first time with my main which is a
Charged Strike
Lightning Fury
javazon. For dealing with lightning immunes is it necessary to have an act 2. Merc with Infinity or could I put Infinity on a
Spear
and use it as my alt weapon? Like I was thinking titans + shield as primary weapon then switch to Infinity and use
Charged Strike
when I run into lightning immunes. Could this be made to work?

Hi!
For dealing with lightning immunes it's not necessary to have Infinity, especially if u play on P1-P3 difficulties.

The easiest option to deal with light immunes is:
Thunderstroke
javelins and Lighting Sunder Charm.
Thunderstroke
javelins are cheap and have -15% to light res built in. This and -5% from Sunder Charm give -20% to light res vs immunes which is enough for
Lightning Fury
and
Charged Strike
skills on start difficulty levels.

All my trades are NL, local timezone GTM+5.

Side note : if you want to try the
Spear
version of Zon you also can use self yield Infi as said here :

forums/amazon-infinity-self-use-t1466727.html

But for
Javelin
side, Elvir's option is fine.

Infi on merc works too, if your merc is able to follow you quickly enough.

For my Java, I'm using Griffons socketed with a lightning facet,
Crack of the Heavens
(sometimes), and the merc has Insight for the mana.
Thunderstroke
is something I'll switch to on occasion as well, if your Titan's are running low or you need that extra minus enemy lightning res. This works quite well, and once again reminds me just how fun the Java is, probably one of my favorite characters.
