Yeah, this happens from time to time. It usually sorts itself after a couple of days, but it has also gone over a week a few times in the past. It's usually a bit chaotic with the status reports when this happens, with people fighting over the "true" status.

Ladder/patch reset often messes with the status too. That's in 2 days

If you actually see a status message appear in your game chat naturally (meaning, the status changes while you're in a game), that typically means that it's the correct status.
