Be happy. :P

Phoenix for a java is basically a regen shield as it does precious little for your overall damage output, due to the ED not helping your lightning dmg.

The ED will increase the physical component of your attacks, increasing your primary target dmg as well as your leech off that target which is obviously a "more = better" kind of thing.

The
Redemption
will of course regen more at higher levels but as a java, you tend to blow up so many mobs at the same time that it really doesn't matter much. A properly herded pack of cows will take you straight to full, regardless of the
Redemption
level.

lvl 10=71%, lvl 15=80%
put another way, if u kill a mob of 10 monsters;
lvl 10 will redeem 7 of those monsters,
lvl 15 will redeem 8 of them
so be happy

If your a javazon here’s some other shields to consider that will probably help more than Phoenix (most being way cheaper too):

Stormshield

Spirit
Monarch
with 4 lightning facets
Rare
Monarch
that has good stats and 2 sockets for facets
Moser’s blessed circle with 2 facets
Head hunters glory with 3 facets
The ultra rare and expensive jmod

Even though you already have your Phoenix, it’s not a waste or even a bad shield, it rocks! It’s just probably better for fire and melee type characters

CO necro and
Find Item
barb in your party won't love that Phoenix :P

To solve the mana issue of javazon, Mana Per Kill is another solution.
You can get it from
Caster Gloves
or jewel.
2/20 Java 3 MPK and 15IAS/3MAEK are expensive.

I put a 3MAEK + fire resist jewel into
Stormshield
because I didn't need more IAS for me Javazon (just my personal playing style).

pm me here (d2.
Io
) for trade

And just to make sure you really don't feel bad about your Phoenix...have a look at the one I just rolled. :P
No question how to feel about that one. ~~

I found a
Jah
in trav this morning and rolled one too, rolls were just slightly above average. Now my
Fireball
sorc clears cows and
Chaos Sanctuary
supper fast and it’s a fun change from javazon and
Nova
sorc.

It’s also cool not to need to pot or have Insight on the merc.

I’m excited to try it out on the other chars it’s useful for in the future
