Prepping for 2.6: offline build recommendations?

So I know this is a bit presumptuous, but I’m pretty excited for

Terror zones and sunder charms offline. After a few months of watching the battle net folks run effective fire/cold solo builds, get to higher levels and drop tc 87 items in

Terror zones, I’m ready for the same thing offline.

Since patch 2.6 was announced I’ve been stocking up on runes, got a

Jah,

Ber, 3 x ohms, 3 x

Vex, and lots of mid runes (I wasted a

Lo making a

Berserker Axe Grief). By the time 2.6 goes live I should have enough to make whatever build I want.

So now I just need to decide what to build. So what would everyone recommend? I sorta want to try an auradin, just can’t decide between fire or lightning.

If there’s other builds not listed above tell me what it is!

I already have functional end game versions of the following:
All barb types
All necro types
Cold sorc

Nova sorc
Physical bowazon
Hammerdin
Smiter
Fury druid

Also the patch notes will really have the last say, if

Terror zones and sunder charms won’t be available offline, then you know… I will probably cut back how much I play until they become a thing.

Create a Dragon paladin with pure fire. At least that's what I'm looking forward to all these months myself.
The lightning+physical or lightning+fire don't really need the sunder at all.

I made a cold archer amazon on ladder (Ice being the MVP). With

Cold Rupture she's definitely a better char than blizz sorc except for against bosses. Less

Teleport-y, but much quicker in general clear speed.

For me, S2 was all about going for an elemental build that was previously a struggle, with fire builds being the most obvious. I went with a fire bowa but a fire druid or fire sorc or even MA assassin would make sense too.

To each their own, but I recommend against this build. I found it particularly boring.

I made a tesladin season 2, and I recommend it. I chose it over a dragondin because you can use Enigma.

AOE lightning pulses that actually do decent damage, plus dual damage

Zeal, is the best melee experience I've had in the game. The main drawback I found was that IAS requirements limit your gear choices for adapting to different situations. You can offset this with a Faith merc, but I got burned out with trading and grinding online before I got to that point.

I play more offline than online, so if I get lucky enough with rune drops (currently have one

Jah), I think I will make a tesladin offline too.

Hmm, looking like fire Druid is the consensus… I’m hoping the patch notes come out today

I tried a fire druid on HC ladder and it's a bit bonkers really, there is so much happening on screen which is fun, but the best AoE skills (

Fissure and

Armageddon) don't suit every situation and there are various cool downs, so you end up using 5 skills quite consistently to maximise clear speed.

A

Sur rune dropped last night in the

River of Flame, so now I have enough to build a tesladin, or something needing a

Cham. I’ll keep collecting until 2.6 come out though, might actually get a real

Cham to drop, then I’d have enough for a dragondin.

When will those patch notes be made public?!

If they don't move it over, you can still get the charms, just have to use an editor to add them in..so if you aren't a purist, you can just make a char, spawn in a few of them and go from there since it would be rather stupid for them to not bring them over.

Can also use this to build a char to test a build to see if its even something you'd enjoy playing in ladder.

So looks like fire Druid is still the front runner.

Yet it’s still the only one I haven’t converted one of my mules to make useable, except a Wind druid.

From everything that I’ve been leveling up the paladin is the highest at level 78… I just still don’t know if I want to commit to Dream or Dragon. He’s a

Holy Fire paladin now, but who knows… I might forget it all and go martial arts assassin… ha ha … like that’ll last
