Gulzar Needs to Get Swole!

TL;DR: What's a good affordable Helm or armor to toss on a mercenary to boost strength?

My Desert Mercenary needs to gain 16 or more Strength as soon as possible. The helmet and armor I have him equipped with are just high defense stuff I thought might keep him alive a bit longer, but I would actually like to use a new armor/weapon/ Helm sooner rather than later so I'm looking for a recommendation for armor or Helm--one or the other--that I can give him so I can equip an ethereal Colossus Voulge made Insight. Something that might also keep him alive a bit longer than stock would be a super bonus.

Yeah. A Colossus Voulge isn't perfect, but I've never cared for perfect so much as the 95%, you know!?

Boneskull and face Mask of horror work too

The best option there is probably Andariel's Face, socketed with a Ral. But it's not a cheap one.

Eth CV Insight + Andy + Treachery armor can lead you even to übers, even if there are more powerful stuff (GT / Infinity / Fortitude / Eth Andy with 15/40 jewel is BiS)

Treachery for the IAS and Venom on strike?

Ias + Fade proc that provides all res + damage reduction. Eth for more def.
Andy provides ias+ll.

G-Face is great too but you need another ll source for survivability

I don't have Andariel's Visage yet, but I do have Giant Skull, Guillaume's Face, and The Face of Horror.

It seems to me Guillaume's Face is probably the best for now, but I wanted to ask for opinions on Giant Skull and what might be socketed into any of the helms.

GFace: a jewel with 15 ias and... that depends. 15 (or less) all res for more res before Fade Proc, ED for more damage and hence more life steal... depends a bit on your budget.

GSkull: I let others give info.

Face of Horror: very bad idea to put a socket in such a poor item otherwise.

Giant Skull has knockback, making it mostly useful for ranged characters only, not Desert mercs.

I think then that I'll be sticking with Guillaume's Face for now, and I'll try to find a good jewel up for trade.

As for my Wealth, I'm skint. I spent everything fluid on trades over Christmas.
