if you hit him you have around 1hour that he dont heal and you can go in town
For a blizz sorc you Spawn him in a2 -> wp to Arcane Sanctuary and walk through the portal (he will spawn in the room with the gateway in it within the palace cellar). Hit him with a couple Arrows from your Edge Bow and then walk through the small door on the left side of the room. Chill on the other side and drop blizzards until he's dead. Helps to run a couple dwarf stars if you have them as you won't be sucking down health pots nearly as often but this is optional. Good fire res is enough.
