Description

I have a hammer/foh hybrid paladin. When I am doing
Baal
waves, I spin up some hammers with
Concentration
and when the wave spawns I switch to
Redemption
and finish it up with FOH.

The question is: when I switch to
Redemption
do those hammers that are still spinning do the damage with a bonus from
Concentration
or does the bonus go away when I switch to
Redemption
? Does it work the other way around, ie when I use hammers with
Redemption
and then switch to
Concentration
will they do more damage?

I don't know for sure but my guess is the damage bonus goes away when you switch off your offensive aura.

From
https://maxroll.gg/d2/guides/blessed-hammer-paladin \ Summary
Whenever casting
Blessed Hammer
make sure
Concentration
is on to deal maximum damage.
Seems that
Concentration
bonus is "snapshotted" on cast.

Other link (that I lost...), said that only your own
Concentration
affects
Blessed Hammer
damage 🤔

Fredkid is correct. Skill levels, damage, projectile numbers, etc are all determined at time of casting. That's why if you cast a persistent spell (
Raise Skeleton
,
Battle Orders
, etc) after grabbing a skill shrine you don't immediately lose a chunk of life or a
Skeleton
when the shrine wears off.
Same with your hammers, the damage is calculated at time of casting, which in your scenario is with your
Concentration
aura.

Edit: didn't realize this was a
Zombie
thread

All trades can be accomplished via PC or xbox. All reasonable offers will be considered and probably accepted.

Aaaaactually, while that is largely an accurate rule of thumb, the
Skeleton
/summon bit isn't.

If you summon say 10 skeletons and then your skill level drops to where you could only summon 9, you won't keep 10 skeletons. One of them will pop immediately and bring you down to 9.

Damnit! I knew that too! My original draft had
Energy Shield
instead of
Raise Skeleton
, but changed it at the end and didn't write that caveat. Good catch!

Little note: that 9 skeletons that remain after the skill level drop, will retains their status from the moment they were cast 😉

Yes, this also works for anything else, time-related stuff will be buffed for the duration (for example SS forms, BoS, BO, dmg absorbs [Frozen Armor, Blade Shield, Bone Armor, Cyclone Armor...], HS, ES, etc.) and for unlimited ones (like summons) buff will last until they are killed/resummoned. :)
So if you think your skill shrine will expire soon just re-buff/re-summon everything even tho summons will drop down to their original numbers (like for Skeletons) they will still retain their buffed capabilities as if you still have that +2.

Ma neeeeeeema veeeeeeeze! xd

Someone much smarter than me already said once: "The real value of something doesn't reflect in a number of how much a seller is asking for it, but on how much a buyer is willing to pay for it."
