What is the best alternative for Grief until I get rich? Currently running Unbending Will on a Phase Blade. Is Oath a better option for faster killing?

I cant speak to Unbending Will. But I used Oath in an Eth Balrog Blade with tons up success in early levels. That sword is amazing for how cheap it is.

Crescent Moon is also VERY good for it's cost. The static proc combined with the CL proc means most of the monster you encounter in the back half of the back are 1/3 or lower HP for the cost of Shael Um Tir.

Depends on the roll for ED. 300+ ED and you have a monster weapon for under an Ist.
Well, it's either Grief, or ebotd zerker - assumin you can afford either. My barb (ww mostly) easily chops PI's and other targets with such weapon - only 1 hard point in Berserk is enough for the cause.
For a maxed Berserk build - you can go with even lesser weapons - mere skill bonuses and synergies will help a lot.

Maxed Berserk is such a waste of skill points. What gives Berserk(and many of the barb combat abilities) more damage is max damage charms.
I use Frenzy + 1pt into Berserk right now, or Whirlwind + 1pt into Berserk.
Pick your playstyle.
Either way, for solo, any build can clear relatively easy.
(I'm also using Grief + Last Wish Phase Blades currently. Used many combinations of weapons and this one I like the most, Dual Grief is pretty standard nowadays though)
