Can be used to make Runewords:

Best idea would be to barter that lousy sword you seem to equip for a way better Grief, and it just happens that i can help you do this
Smooth McGroove over here
Yea, that's a beautiful Last Wish. Mine only rolled 373/63 so I'm kinda jealous, but Stecco is right. Grief > Last Wish any day for Smiter.
My favorite use for Last Wish is my MF Frenzy Hork Barb. Grief + Last Wish is an insane combo on him. He can handle Ubers pretty good as well.

OP
Grief has additional damage but no crushing Blow. I will give it a try though.
I considered Steelrend and Goblin Toe for more cb. I did not test that yet.

OP
Btw does might Aura stack together with points into might? Or does Fanaticism more of a use?
Have some end-game gears but still keep 9 El in the shared stash ?
pm me here (d2. Io) for trade
OP
Even if it did stack together, it only increases at the same rate for every level. Better off with leveling fanat aura regardless.Phalanx wrote: 2 years ago Btw does might Aura stack together with points into might? Or does Fanaticism more of a use?
Also I'd swap out Fortitude for Chains of Honor since the %damage from fort doesn't affect Smite skill. The %damages from Chains of Honor do affect Smite.

Ty, this was my next question.Peaky wrote: 2 years ago if it did stack together, it only increases at the same rate for every level. Better off with leveling fanat aura regardless.

So Grief PB + CoH. And Shield like Phoenix or Rhyme? Or does Exile best?
I'd say go Exile or Herald Of Zakarum. Exile for defence, Herald Of Zakarum for resistances. Both give good Smite damage. If you run Herald though, you should wear Dracul's Grasp gloves for the Life Tap effect.Phalanx wrote: 2 years agoTy, this was my next question.Peaky wrote: 2 years ago if it did stack together, it only increases at the same rate for every level. Actually, you have that reversed.Peaky wrote: 2 years ago ...

The %ED on Fortitude does work with Smite. It merely does not show on the character screen which is why you may believe it doesn't work.
The Demon/Undead %ED on CoH however does not work with Smite at all.
Grief + Fortitude for dmg. CoH does add some dmg via the skill points and strength but it is nowhere near what fort adds (even though fort ED doesn't show on your char screen). So really, CoH is only preferred if you desperately need the extra resistances on it.Phalanx wrote: 2 years agoTy, this was my next question.Peaky wrote: 2 years ago if it did stack together, it only increases at the same rate for every level. Phoenix theoretically offers the highest possible raw damage. Personally though, I'd always go with Exile simply because the Life Tap chance is too good and it frees up your gloves for more crushing as you won't need Drac's anymore. Use a solid all res base and you won't really be missing the bit of extra res on HoZ either.
Oh my bad, I thought I read somewhere that Fortitude didnt. I'm researching now and yes it does increase Smite damage.Schnorki wrote: 2 years agoGrief + Fortitude for dmg.
