Question about gear swapping and requirements

So I have one Enigma and I see no reason to make more than one with a shared stash, but something has me a bit anxious. As shown in the pic, when I remove my Enigma from my hammerdin, it drops me below the requirements to wear my shield and

Boots, even though it is still occupying the equipped inventory space. I know it can't be used when it's red, but is it safe to leave the game in this state? I'm just trying to make sure that there's no code that's gonna check for inventory space, see that there is none and then delete these "unequippable" items upon exiting or loading a game with this character.

Yes, you're safe to leave, rejoin and do whatever, so long as that's what your char looks like. The game won't try to de- or re-equip anything, it just leaves the stuff in its equipped slot but makes it not actually do anything.

I did the same thing, back when I didn't have all of my Enigmas yet. Once you re-equip it, everything gets re-enabled as you meet the requirements again.

The one thing to pay attention to though is if you for whatever reason choose to actually play like that, without the Enigma on, and you die, you can run into issues with corpse recovery. So...just make sure you don't die more than once/with an only half-recovered corpse still up.
