It is way to easy to manipulate and mislead future buyers on the real value of items.
For example someone could "fake" sell 5 Stone of Jordan for a Ber each.
And then list a real one he is trying to sell.
When then someone not really familiar with prices checks recent sales he'd see 5 sold for that much.
And then the could get scammed out of a Ber because he thinks it's worth that much as they saw 5 being sold for Ber recently.

I was initially interested but the high strength requirement put me off.
So I talked to a lot (really a lot) of people trying to gauge the value.
And basically everyone agree that the upgraded halfed the value if not worse.
I find it incredibly hard to believe the seller got what they claimed for those.
I suggest putting a system in place that only let's you put a selling price if the deal was done on this website and you also fill in who the buyer was so you can verify the price.

You can already mark who you sold an item to, and you can mark what it sold for. That means that verification is possible (if pursued). There is also a range of recent (3d) sales to review, as well as historical sales data going back to the beginning of the marketplace. This means that if you see abnormalities you have comparison points.
What people put as their marked sold/etc. information is down to them. Sometimes you'll see 'N/A' for the sold to slot, this should be filtered out of historical price data however so that only items that were marked sold to someone and for something are counted in the archives.
If you ever had any suspicions about the price of an item, the tools are there to check it. I think some people here are just trying to inflame what is a very clearly already fulfilled feature on the site.

Hm ... if the customer is looking for exactly this item and has enough strength, why not.
Max Defense, max MF ... and after upgrade also max Defense -> Perfect Upgraded (ok... Attacker Takes Damage is not) .
But in general I would also like it if you can only mark the item as sold if a registered user is selected.

I mean you should still be able to mark is as sold.
For all purposes it could be sold on another platform or ingame and that's okay and i like that better than deleting a post.
They just should not be allowed to state for what it sold there.
And yes I know there are pefect defense and MF.
The problem is that no "normal" MF char has that much strength which limits there use a lot (you have to give up vitality in order to spec in the strenth and also the strength bonus on them is mostly useless in that case).
That greatly limits the usage of the Boots to a very specific char and that does affect the trade value.
In no world those are worth more than 50mf /190ed non-upgraded WT.
For all purposes it could be sold on another platform or ingame and that's okay and i like that better than deleting a post.

Because you can just post what your bnet is for everyone to see I get a lot of people not even posting on my trades and they will just straight up add me on bnet. In most cases they tell me who they are on the forums so i can mark it as sold to them, but sometimes they dont say who they are.
The best thing the site can do is not allow you to post what the item was sold for if you cannot say who it was sold to. But still giving the option to mark it as sold but it will just say "Sold for N/A". This is how it should be in my opinion anyways.

I'm also only using trades as reference in which the buyer is marked and the offer is openly visible in the selling post.
But I'm sure not everyone is as careful.
Not to be a party pooper, but you can ALWAYS say who you can sold it to, truthfully or not.
Mark it to a random account, they'll never get to know. This is not a solution.

But I think it still is a solution because you can check the selling post and see if the person marked as buyer actually made that offer in that post.
You should also see mutual trust awarded for the deal.
And if any of that is lacking then you have a huge red flag.

I'm constantly selling items to people who never offered directly in the trade. Either I sell them through PMs, or I add them as extras to a trade, or I trade them in game as additional separate trades to the same person who never looked at my whole stock?
And how about people who just add you through bnet tag? Are you going to tell them to comment on your trade, so you can sprinkle each other with fake internet points? Most people won't bother.
It's up to the seller to answer truthfully, or if they bother marking it instead of straight up cancelling despite the item changing hands. At the end of the day, does it really matter? Like, really really?

I have actually reported people for doing this especially when there was already an agreement made to another person.
I consider this "trade poaching" and it's against the rules here.
