Hey guys,

im curious, i just found an
Eth
.
Great Poleaxe
and have 2 options now imho.

1. I just sell it so the buyer can put sockets into it with
Larzuk
Quest (although 6 is not the ideal amount of sockets on a polearm)

2. I roll the "add 1-6 sockets to a normal weapon" recipe and hope that it hits 4. If it hits 6 it would be ok. If it hits any other number the weapon is useless. 33% isn´t that bad imho. and if it hits 4 sockets the value of the item will greatly increase.

What would you guys do. Or what are you normally doing if you find such a base. Im a curious.

16,6667 % chance for 4 Sockets

My last attempt at a Eth Great Poleaxe resulted in 5 sockets

The Runeword Obedience would still be possible with 5 sockets... not bad at all

Isn't it 16% though? Since it could roll anything from 1 to 6 sockets with equal probability? I mean... from where you stand you have 2/3 chance of getting nothing of value (1,2,3 or 5 sockets), 1/6 chance of getting a "high price" (whatever that is) and 1/6 to get a mid price (that you would get with
Larzuk
definitely).

The formula then is 2/3*0+1/6*"high price"+1/6*"mid price". If that's higher than what "mid price" is, on average(!) you're better off cubing it.

OP
Ty guys!

I did overlook the possibility of 5 sockets.

The formula rly helped. After all its all math. --> The
Eth
.
Great Poleaxe
maybe goes for a
Mal
at the best.

The 4 socketed one can get up to several
Ist
´s/
Gul
´s.

So it indeed is higher than the average mid price.

Cheers, have a good weekend guys.

4 Sockets can give
Vex
+ x /
Ohm
if you have a little patience

5 Sockets maybe for personal use (Obedience) ?
6 Sockets for Breath of the Dying

1-3 = < 35.000 Gold :D

It's all just luck anyway

I'd personally cube punch holes in it and hope for the 4/5 socket result. Like you said, 6 sockets from
Larzuk
really doesn't have much value compared to 4/5. Good luck!
