Can be used to make Runewords:

goodluck, and may the RNG god be with you.
Depends wildly from class to class and build to build.
What are you currently playing and what is your set up? i could give you skill selection and gear choices.
Builds that generally have an "easier" time in Hell: Lite Trapsin, Cold Sorc, Javazon, Wind Druid, Hammerdin, Summon Necro (w/ CE)

Bone Necro - White Wand in a +2 Necro Skill +2 Bone Spear base.
Most casters will find things a lot easier if they use a Wizardspike while transitioning to later gear.

how far you get in hell with this?
and what are your summons?

If Hell is too tough for you, either level up in Baal runs or MF in NM until you get fire + Light res maxed out in Hell (175%). Go to Maxroll.gg, select D2r, see Tier lists. Select what type of character you want to be and the entire item/skill guides from starter to end items.
I play Hammerdin as main so it's not too hard to max out the res, but when I really felt that I can hunt in hell somewhat was when I got my HOTO.

well my char is a glass cannon(fire druid with ravens), so.. he can kick ass with fire non immune, but at least half if not more are fire immune in hell, or any immune.holywalk wrote: 3 years ago If Hell is too tough for you, either level up in Baal runs or MF in NM until you get fire + Light res maxed out in Hell (175%). so he does moderate physical to counter fire immunes, until i get my Ravenlore, which can lower resistance to fire..not sure who this will work in hell.
also i don't understand how can you get your resistances up when you level? isn't that gear based? and I'm into damage and fast runs. since this is my main(yeah , i know, poor choice probably on your attitude, but I'm not looking for easy, but - fun).
so Heart of the Oak is that powerful?
goodluck, and may the RNG god be with you.
idk feel it happened gradually but as a sorc the HOTO and my Hellfire Torch made a huge diff. id say the main draw to hoto as far as a sorc goes and diff between it a occy is the higher AR and higher FCR which if it helps you reach a FCR break point can make a pretty big diff.
OP
Infinity anyone?
as Conviction to the merc?
should be able to help against immunes with the Ravenlore

Infinity won't break a lot of Fire immunities in hell.
If you are 100% one type of damage then you just need to ignore the immune mobs. The problem is that for Fire that's most mobs in Hell, that's why you see a lot more lightning sorceresses or magic dmg (Bone necro, hammers) than fire, because it is a lot easier to find places that have little to no immunes to these types of damage.
Lowering res can also help but you should see it more as a damage boost than a way to break immunity in my opinion. Did you try having a Lower Resist Wand in your swap hand? You can shop for one in Act 1 I think.
The Meteorb sorceress is a very popular way of avoiding immunities (even though you still run into fire/cold immunes later in Hell) but there are simpler solutions, e.g. having a powerful merc who can take care of those immune monsters while you kill the rest, or investing some skill points into alternatives skills. I'm not too knowledgeable about Druid but I know Hammerdins for example can easily spec to do some smiting (physical dmg). Later on when you get a lot of +skills with your gear, it can pay off to have even a single point invested into an alternative.

I have a point into golem, Golem Mastery, and summon resists but none others. Can clear hell solo with just my merc.rikus wrote: 3 years agowow that's a wicked Wand. and not expensive too.APKefka wrote: 3 years ago Bone Necro - White Wand in a +2 Necro Skill +2 Bone Spear base.

Max in Order -
Bone Spear
Bone Prison
Bone Wall
Bone Spirit
Teeth
With 1 point into -
Clay Golem
Life Tap
Decrepify
Golem Mastery
Summon Resists

Honestly going max block did it for more, I respeced as orb/firewall with max block and I'm way bulkier and don't die anymore, plus can kill nearly anything with cold/fire combo.
Real talk: this isn't my first time doing this so honestly the goal should always be one thing; trist till 14>tomb till 20>cow till 24> Baal till 40> Baal till 60> Baal till 80> and THAN figure your equipment out since most of it is gona be too high level for you to use anyways for the majority of norm/nm... but by the end of nm you should be 60-70, end of hell you should be 80-85+ fairly easly
The real game becomes once you get level 80+ so the focus should be trying to get there as fast as possible imo. Pay the forge to get a rush if you need to: cuz leeching exp in Baal is more important than dicking around getting rekt with half your gear.

As someone who had a GG fire ele druid, I swapped him over to be a Fury/Apoc WW hybrid based on DBrunski's build because Fire was so horribly underwhelming.
I'd respec the class tbh.
OP
yeah I'm learning it the hard way. but I don't care. that's the challenge, and that's why i play it.
what does GG stand for?
and did you actually have Infinity and Ravenlore?

Had everything but the Infinity ( Ravenlore, Dragon, Photo, Fk ton of skillers etc) and still was super underwhelmed with dps and hating to skip fire packs.
Swapped to the Shapeshifter Fury/ Armageddon hybrid and LOVED it. So much cheaper to run and more effective, with basically the entire game unlocked for farming.
Here's a vid if you're curious. Most expensive parts are w/e you choose for armor and the Earthshifter -
Fire druid can grow up into a wicked Beast indeed. I raised one in Aldur setup (don't be surprised), added facets to the set, gave an Infinity to merc, torch+anni ofc, and usin either Medusa's Gaze (for LR proc), Stormshield (helps a lot against doll/succubi things), Spirit (for raw cowin) - and finally forged a nice Phoenix shield - and it's awesome, enjoyin it ever since Fire Claws + Armageddon is a decent way to go. The only troublesome enemies are Death lord packs and Lister+friends - merc helps here a lot.
Summon necro can kick ass in hell at only about lvl 75 or so, my phys bowazon struggled until level 85, would be easier if I had Fort but alas dont have that HR yet =D
big boy status
The only things in this game that can break immunities or contribute to breaking immunities are the Conviction aura (which comes with Infinity) and the lower res curse. All other -enemy resistance things including Ravenlore only affect enemies that are not immune to that damage type.
