If they would given the QoL features to everybody for free, I would have bought the DLC.oOKIWIOo wrote: 2 hours agoWell, you should consider that they not only implemented QoL features. I totally understand that people want them for free but I also understand that Blizzard uses them to motivate players to switch to RotW. Funnily, the day before the announcement I was chatting with a colleague in the office about the possibility that they might bring the Warlock to D2. I dismissed the idea out of hand because I thought introducing a new class would bring massive balancing problems and Blizzard would have to invest a ton of money to get the game balanced again. And I thought they would never be willing to do that (and my friend even agreed with me after this explanation) I was obviously wrong about the first part but I really think that most of the money on the side of Blizzard will be spent in the next months to make the game "whole" again. It would be a surprise if this project differs significantly from the proven 80:20 rule. This means you need 20% of your investment to get the thing "going" and then 80% to get it "right".

I bought all Stellaris DLCs, even a few of them were not that great for my playstyle. But they always gave us some good stuff for free with the DLC, so I always felt motivated to support the devs.
Personally, I won't reward behavior that is very unfriendly to me, I only reward good behavior.
Same with Stellar Blade - the DLC we got was overpriced if you look at what it offers. But the devs gave us some nice free stuff as well, so I had no problem buying the overpriced DLC. Because they behaved decenly, I felt very motivated to give them money.
