So yeah i did it again!

The DLC came out. I got hooked again. And i started over from scratch. Radical as i am, i deleted all the savefiles because solo self found just feels wrong with a "Headstart".

Am i the only stupid moron out there or are there some other selfhating veterans?

Cheers!

Hi there! You're not the only one.
I'm also started fresh with my warlock, but I didn't deleted my others characters. I have all the goodies there and I'll migrate them later to the RotW.

So now, my fire warlock made his own journey starting with his miniscule
Dagger
and updating all the way up to the Obsession (yet to find a
Ist
, but soon will be ready). Still have to find almost half of the end game gear but yes, this is the best part when you start from scratch. You cheer for any good find that you don't have.

He is almost level 98, heading to 99.

Naw, I am the same. I amassed a ton of Wealth online before starting fresh again. The fun for me is finding everything. I "quit", and then the DLC came out...

Did exactly the same at the start of ladder.

I've practically finished my main now and will give away all my low and mid uniques/runewords in public games to start fresh with a new build.
The only thing I tend to hoard are runes and valuable items. The real game is the finding and hunting for new loot with a fresh character

Starting from scratch is the best! the feeling of get regular upgrades. Hit a wall of difficult, overcome that, then hit another wall...ahh this game is a piece of art. Long live D2!

There is one rule, above all others, for being a man. Whatever comes, face it on your feet.

Yeah I have the same story. When D2R released played it like a crackhead and found a couple items worth multiple HRs which set me free, for life. Ended up playing solo/offline for a long time until RotW released and now I'm enjoying a ladder playthrough!
