If Memory serves me well, there used to be a number showing available slots in public games in LoD. Any ideas why there is no such information available in D2R?

As far as I know, they never did. They just showed the number of players, which is still shown in D2R but with a Ping indicator to the right and Terror Zone to the left.

I should have been a little clearer in my question. What I meant is, there is no showing of the maximum players set by the host for a given game.

They do show it on console. So that's a win for console. Hell yeah. Now the score is 9,345 to 1.
