Below are some useful Horadric Cube recipes to efficiently use up resources at the start of a ladder.
Topaz and Diamond have no item crafting recipes, so can be used to socket in armour or reroll charms.
However; Amethyst, Sapphire, Ruby, and Emerald are used in crafting items, so do not reroll charms with these.
The recipes were chosen to prevent bottlenecks by using each rune between Eth - Sol once and each colour of Perfect Gem twice.
A Normal Diadem can be imbued - creating a Rare Diadem which when rerolled with 6 x Perfect Skull will always be able to spawn with +2 skills.
You can gamble a Diadem - by purchasing a Coronet - as well as any other equipment needed for crafting.

Weapon - Ral + Amn + Perfect Amethyst
Armour - Tal + Thul + Perfect Topaz
Helmet - Ral + Thul + Perfect Sapphire
Shield - Tal + Amn + Perfect Ruby
UPGRADE:
Armour; Normal - Tal + Shael + Perfect Diamond
Armour; Exceptional - Ko + Lem + Perfect Diamond
Weapon; Normal - Ral + Sol + Perfect Emerald
Weapon; Exceptional - Lum + Pul + Perfect Emerald
CRAFT:
Blood Boots - Eth + Perfect Ruby + Jewel
(Use Mirrored Boots for high kick damage)
Safety Helm - Ith + Perfect Emerald + Jewel
(Use Crown |or| Grand Crown for lower strength requirement)
Safety Belt - Tal + Perfect Emerald + Jewel
