When using my hammerdin for Baal runs, the second wave always slows me down. I still can easily get past it, but just curious if anyone has advice on how to kill them as fast as the other waves using a hammerdin. Is there a different aura other than Concentration? A weapon?
I’ve always wondered this after kajillions of Baal runs lol. I was thinking Sanctuary but that just pulses right?

Can be used to make Runewords:
The second Baal wave is infamous for being one of the very few Achilles heel of a Hammerdin.
Most people let Emilio go to town on them. Or you could try to put some points into Smite and use a Grief.

For 2nd wave, since i think u have Holy Bolt as preq?
If so, use holy Bolts to kill them, it works wonders for me whenever i use my hammerdin for Baal runs.

Either go with some sort of hybrid approach or stack all (read: not all but enough) of the new -magic res goodness we finally got with RotW (hellwarden, renewed cleft, Guardian's Light and so on).
My Bone necro stopped using Corpse Explosion and such entirely since he got his RotW-rework. Hammerdins can do the same.

Between Renewed Black Cleft, Sling Ring, and Guardian's Light, the second wave goes down just as quickly as the first wave now. Huge changes and Magic Immunes are just regular mobs now!
