Just a short story.

Yesterday i was farming Nihlathak for keys and it was being a total pain, in about 4 hours (like 250 runs maybe) he only dropped me 1 Key of Destruction, never have had such bad luck on him before.

Today i went to farm him again expecting nothing but more pain but he seemed more reasonable and on the fifth run he dropped me the first Key, but oh boy was he feeling guilty for what he made me endure yesterday, a couple of runs later he gifted me an apology Ohm rune.

Totally worth, i have CtA now!

Just a few hours ago, Nihlathak dropped a Stone of Jordan for me on my third run of the day. I think he's just in a good mood today!

Your experience is exactly why I farm about 7 or 8 different areas in every MF game I create.

It seems to even out the drops fairly well.

Nihlithak might be feeling stingy, but Meph might drop a Shako, and Andy could feel like dropping sojs. I just got another one from her this morning.

Trav is the only place that consistently makes me feel like I'm wasting my time.

I need to start farming Nihli, it seems. I don't like Act 5 due to odd performance issues.

This game is so random!!

I have a similar story... I've been farming Cows, Meph and Chaos for two weeks now and no GG items or HR's (my last was a Jah rune from Meph).

I was doing Cows last night (5th or 6th run) and a Ber rune drops! Yay I can finally make my first Enigma! Then the very next run a Zod rune drops off a cow!

To top off my luck I did a few Arcane Sanc runs for keys. Bear in mind I haven't got a Key for ages (0 keys in about 30 runs) and I get three keys in a row!

Just shows, stay the course and you will see the rewards.

I farmed cows since i was able to do Hell difficulty...Hearing moo moo-s for 3 weeks. i had even sleeping problems, heared them in my dreams, when i woke up.
I found only an Ist under a rock in the Cows level, and some uniques which i could sell for lower Runes.

Then I changed my farming guide. in ~10 runs i got a Vex from a chest in Lower Kurast.
Farmed a couple days cows and Lower Kurast. nothing.

Time to change my runs again.

I kill everything.
act1 - cows, pit
act 2 - Lost City (everything) then Ancient Tunnels
act 3 LK, Travi (got a Mal from Travincal once)
act 4 Chaos Sanctuary - got a Shako 2 days ago from Diablo
act 5 - frigid, pindle, and until nihatlak i kill every moving target. (in the first run a got a Jah from a tomb there)

Now I try to cube everything up to get my way into Ohm rune.

Currently have Vex, 2 Ists and a Mal...
I hope i could find / craft another Ist and buy a Vex here to cube up with my another one to Ohm (and make my Faith runeword finally)

Yeah I will make more varied runs in the future but for now I'm still searching for my perfect torches so this is more efficient and also is my main method of funding my gear.

Just found a Lo after days of shit and manaldheal (megashit) from a mob I actually wanted to skip, but somehow got stuck...

you should never miss travical + trav members on the level of meph i think:) in total they dropped me Ber Lo and Stone of Jordan with literal 0MF + couple of mid runes like Mal
