Description

Although it appears rather mediocre on its own,
Trang-Oul's Wing is the best possible off-hand item for a poison necromancer that has not yet obtained a
Death's Web.

When worn with two other items in its set - ideally
Trang-Oul's Girth and
Trang-Oul's Claws - the trophy grants -25% enemy poison resistance. That's a massive boost in damage output that does not appear on one's character sheet.

By comparison,
Death's Web grants -40% to -50% enemy poison resistance, but costs several orders of magnitude more in trade value than a Trang-Oul trophy.

Homunculus,
Trang-Oul's Wing offers a high base block chance, which may make it attractive to Necromancers seeking to maintain a 75% block chance.

This item, combined with Trang-oul's gloves and
Belt and
Death's Web, grants -65% to 75% to monsters poison resistance, making a poisonmancer one of the best char for farming

If you find one with 45 fire resistance, just try to up it. If you get 270 or 271 defense (max) you can trade it with extreme value.
Other than that, BIS shield for a poison Necromancer with either full set or three-piece combined with
Death's Web.
